Biography

I've always had a passion for creativity - as long as I remember. It began with a drum age two and a half, (which seemed to mysteriously disapear after a week or two?!) By my teens I was well into art and music. During my mid-twenties I began exhibiting paintings in St. Ives - selling my first painting in June 1979. I soon became a full-time artist, specialising in watercolour for the first decade. Turner has always been my main inspiration, having studied his work closely for many years. 

During 2009 and 2010 I was featured in UK art foundation courses for the quality of light in my paintings. This is still the prime attraction of my work. And I still retain the same passion for painting such light after forty years.
